No. It is recommended good practice rather than a statutory duty in the Republic of Ireland. No statutory gas certificate in the Republic. S.I. 137/2019, Reg 12 requires gas installations in good repair and safe working order, and local authority inspectors may ask for an RGI safety check certificate from the last 12 months (Department guidelines, August 2024).
